On the Feast of the Sacred Heart, Friday, June 27th, Donald Collins and Lori Ferrer were married in Read, at St. Charles Borromeo. We would like to take this opportunity to congratulate Donald and Lori on their wedding. Donald has been the pastoral assistant at St. Michael's since 2022 and we are grateful for his gifts in serving the parish in the way of catechesis, senior's lunches and summer camp.
We wish Donald and Lori many years of happiness together.

Dear Parents and Guardians,
St. Michael's Parish is offering Summer Camp again this summer. You may email the parish office for a registration form or pick up a form at the church. Campers are not registered until payment has been received and a confirmation email is sent to you from the parish office. There is room for 60 campers each week. We look forward to a couple of great weeks with the children!
Although the timeline for completing the interior renovations has been extended due to unforseen delays, the work is nevertheless progressing such that, everything should be finished in another 4-6 weeks.
The lighting system and sound system, plus the installation of new ceiling fans, can move ahead anytime. The altar of the Blessed Sacrament behind the drape is almost finished and the scaffolding will be removed to reveal a remarkably stunning gothic marble reredos, which will enhance the architectural beauty of the space and draw the faithful to fitting worship of the abiding sacramental presence of Our Lord in the Tabernacle. The narthex wall will be one of the last things to be installed.
As you see, the work done so far is both beautiful and practical. The initial budget was around $1 million. We have exceeded the budget because of added items as we progressed, $1.3 million is a better estimate.
How will be pay for all this? Primarily from savings accounts, secondly from donations made through the Capital Fund, which is part of the monthly envelope distribution to those who have signed up to donate to the parish, thirdly, through private donors. In the next couple of weeks, a list of possible itemized elements of the renovation will be made available so that, those with greater means might choose to donate certain parts of the restoration project. All donations, large or small, are welcomed with profound gratitude. A list of contributions will be kept in a book of "Remembrance and Gratitude", and all will be remembered regularly in the prayers offered at Holy Mass.

Celebrating 26 Years of Perpetual Adoration
On the Feast of Corpus Christi, St. Michael the Archangel joyfully celebrated twenty-six years of Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration. This incredible milestone is a testament to the extraordinary faith and charity poured out by our Adorers, Captains, and Division Leaders. Your quiet dedicated devotion has sustained the heartbeat of our Chapel. As well, I would like to mention my gratefulness for the intentional care that Debbie Durocher puts into maintaining and beautifying the Chapel with the flower arrangements.
A special and gigantic THANK YOU goes to Fr. Whalen, whose openness to the promptings of the Holy Spirit made the opening of the Adoration Chapel possible all those years ago.
May God bless each and every one of you who has been part of this beautiful ministry—from its humble conception to today. Your prayers have created a sacred space where hearts are transformed and grace flows continually.

After 20 years of dedicated service, Rosemary Macaulay is retiring from looking after the weeding and trimming around the parish hall. Rosemary’s green thumb has not only nurtured plants but has also cultivated beauty and peace for those who have visited the Blessed Sacrament in the Adoration Chapel. Rosemary’s care in looking after the gardens have been a steady and quiet gift to adorers and parishioners alike. We cannot thank her enough for her years of faithfulness.

Catholic Young Adults Group meets here at the parish for anyone in their 20's, 30's or 40's. All young men & women are invited to gather regularly for adoration, Mass,
Catechism & Bible studies and for other religious activities to foster faith & fellowship.

Gleaners’ Foodbank Monthly Food Collection
On the third weekend of every month our parish will promote a food drive to provide for the ongoing daily demands of the Food bank. The blue bins which you see in the tower entrance and by the Welcome Desk are for that purpose. Dry goods and canned goods are requested. If you want a more extensive list of their needs please pick up the food list by the foldout at the entrance of the Church.

Whatsoever you do to the least of the brothers and sisters of Jesus, you do to Him.
One of the most important works of God that we do all of the time is supporting the sick and suffering with our prayers. All studies show that people who pray and receive prayer from others and are supported by the Sacraments, bear their sufferings better, recover more quickly and are open to God’s healing grace.
Will you be like the friends of the paralyzed man in the Gospel who lowered their friend through the roof right in front of Jesus, insisting that he be healed? They were so determined that their friend would encounter Jesus and experience his healing grace that they were ready to go to extreme measures on his behalf. Let’s be equally insistent and supportive.
